KUALA LUMPUR: KSK Group Bhd's property development unit KSK Land Sdn Bhd will be the first company in Malaysia to use Delve to drive smart, sustainable developments, through real-time data-driven feasibility and massing studies.
Created by Sidewalk Labs, a New York-based urban innovation company, Delve is a software tool that uses generative design and artificial intelligence (AI) to help developers rapidly create neighbourhoods and with fewer risks.
KSK Land managing director Joanne Kua said the company is constantly keeping up with the latest technology movements to position itself as a future-forward property company.
"We are excited to be the first in Malaysia to collaborate with Sidewalk Labs in utilising Delve as a digital mastering tool for each of our property development.
"KSK Land will also use Delve's outcome to power some of our in-house data-driven AI pricing engine which is currently being developed by our newly set-up technology and data science team called KSK City Labs," she said in a virtual media conference today.
Kua also said with the flexibility of designing from the onset of the development stage, the cost-efficient gains would be given back to customers.
Meanwhile, Sidewalk Labs' Delve co-head Okalo Ikhena said collaboration across different stakeholders and sharing ideal outcomes save time and brings more value by automating the vigorous work of exploring a combination of design options using cloud computing.
"We will be able to uncover the best design using machine learning to identify top performers across the design space.
"We can optimise on what is needed by the customer and also be able to increase financial returns by intentionally designing for value in financial viability from day one," said Ikhena.- Bernama
