KUALA LUMPUR: Mah Sing Group Bhd hopes the government will extend the home ownership campaign (HOC) until the end of the year.
In a statement, Mah Sing’s chief executive officer Datuk Ho Hon Sang said most people would buy properties due to the low interest rate environment and benefits offered by the HOC, which is slated to end on May 31.
“Our Come Home 2 Mah Sing Campaign coincidentally is ending on May 31. It will definitely be of great assistance to homebuyers to maximise savings while purchasing their homes, ” he added.
The property developer has launched the campaign, which enables buyers to own a home payment-free for up to four years from the group’s completed residential and commercial projects as well as those under-construction.
The cmpaign is designed to look into specific pain points in its customers’ property ownership journey namely financial issues, uncertainty of securing a job and product features.Meanwhile, Mah Sing’s founder and group managing director Tan Sri Leong Hoy Kum said the country’s economy is recovering and supported by the national Covid-19 immunisation programme, which has improved the property market sentiment.
Following the positive response to its recent launches, he pointed out that there were 500 walk-in registrants for the 396 units M Panora project in Rawang during the public preview event.
“We believe that it is an appropriate time to own a home now before it is too late, ” he pointed out.
